Tom Cruise wanted to marry Katie Holmes as soon as he met her. The couple got engaged three years ago, just two months after they went public with their romance.
And Tom, 46, says he bought her the ring after their first date. 'I knew I wanted to marry Kate when I met her,' he says. 'At one point, I thought she was going to ask me to marry her first and I put her off by changing the subject. I wanted to ask her.'
Katie Holmes, who had a crush on Tom Cruise as a teen, admits she was madly in love with him too when they first met. In 2006, Holmes married Cruise after a whirlwind courtship. The two are now parents to daughter Suri.

"Madonna and Guy Ritchie have agreed to divorce after seven-and-a-half years of marriage. They have both requested that the media maintain respect for their family at this difficult time." These are the words of the official statement released by the couple's reps to the Associated Press.
In the past months there has been a lot of speculation about their relationship and according to many rumors the divorce was imminent. It seems now that much of the gossip was true.
